Northern Kenya Greenfield Tower Rollout

Kirlian Ventures was engaged by a national mobile operator to deliver a turnkey greenfield rollout of 42 telecom sites across six remote counties in Northern Kenya, a region historically underserved by mobile infrastructure. The programme spanned the full project lifecycle — from site acquisition support and geotechnical assessment through to tower erection, BTS installation, microwave backhaul integration, and final acceptance testing. Each site was engineered for self-sufficiency, combining solar-diesel hybrid power with robust transport logistics to overcome the absence of grid electricity and paved roads.

Delivered over 18 months, the rollout brought 4G voice and data services to over 180,000 residents for the first time, connecting schools, health centres, and businesses to the national network.
