Solar Hybrid Power Conversion

Kirlian Ventures was contracted to convert 120 diesel-only telecom sites across the Rift Valley region to solar-diesel hybrid systems. Each site received new solar arrays, hybrid controllers, and upgraded battery banks, along with remote monitoring units providing real-time visibility into power consumption, battery state, and fuel levels.

The programme reduced average diesel consumption per site by over 60%, delivering significant operational savings for the operator while cutting carbon emissions across the network. All sites were commissioned within a rolling 12-month programme with zero network downtime during conversion.
